As the number of articles and categories in your magazine grows, it may become necessary to then break the structure into issues. Magazine.NET will give you many options when choosing a publishing format:
- Single Issue - All articles and categories are managed and displayed in a single issue.
- Multiple Issues - All categories automatically flow through all issues. Articles will have to be assigned to issues individually in order to not duplicate any content. The end user will always see the most current issue initially, there will also be an issues page available where all current and past issues are listed; upon clicking an issue, the content of the entire website will change to be that of the selected issue.
As you can see, there are options to managing your magazine through the number of issues you choose to have. The multiple issue option is the way to go if you have a network of writers and content developers who will be able to fill every category of each issue with content, however, if you are an individual starting a magazine on your own, the single issue system might be the way to go until you develop enough content to warrant splitting it into multiple issues.
